Drama, an architectural detail can be seen today on the façade of the Lyric Theatre on West 42nd Street in Manhattan, the detail on 43rd Street. The theatre was built in 1996-8 on the site of the Apollo and Lyric Theatres. The buildings were condemned in the early 1990’s with a new theatre to take its place. This detail, part on the Lyric Theatre (built in 1903) was carefully preserved and re-worked into the new design
